For our customer located in Basel/Switzerland we are currently looking for a: Consultant for the Workday Audit and Certification Preparation [60%, mainly remote] (m/f/d)

  • Location: Basel / Remote

Our client has recently implemented Workday as its primary Human Resources Information Technology platform. Considering this, they are currently undergoing preparations for a pre-audit and a formal audit to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to the Business Owner, to help manage and action operational tasks in Workday. This includes sharing Workday best practices and guidelines for operational activities in Workday.
  • Support our client in their preparations for upcoming pre-audit activities in Workday
  • Providing advice to assist our client in creating an enhanced Workday operating model ahead of the formal audit in September.
  • Assist our client in the development of a long-term Workday operating model that meets future requirements. Our client plans to deploy additional Workday functionality in the future and would like to ensure future processes are aligned to meet auditing and business needs.
  • Workday Review Framework:
    • Support our client in reviewing their Workday system from a SOX compliance standpoint.
  • Internal Control Framework:
    • assist in sharing Workday recommended approaches and best practices to related Workday controls that are in place to protect sensitive HR information and prevent unauthorized access. This will consist of running relevant reports and evaluating the Workday tenant access, security structure and change control processes
      in Workday.
  • Segregation of Duties:
    • Review existing Business Process framework to ensure that individuals responsible for initiating HR transactions are separate from those responsible for approving or processing them. Assist by performing a Business Process review in the Workday environment and analyzing scenarios where a user can both approve and process a transaction.
  • Data Accuracy and Retention:
    • Review existing mechanisms as a part of the data framework to ensure data accuracy and integrity, as well as efficient recordkeeping and data retention policies. This will consist of analyzing the outputs of relevant data validation reports and ensuring data is accurate. This will also consist of reviewing Workday recommended approaches around data retention best practices and assessing the team understand Workday delivered data purging functionality.
  • Audit Trails, Reporting, and Controls:
    • Review of Workday’s built auditing functionality for logging and monitoring user activities, system changes, and data access. Ensure necessary reporting is available in Workday to meet the clients and audit requirements. Assist the client in running various audit reports and analyzing the outputs

Must Haves

  • Professional Experience as consultant within Audit Preparations (Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance), preferred within HR IT (especially with Workday)
