For our customer located in Basel/Switzerland we are currently looking for (m/f) a Scientific Project Coordinator

  • Type of placement:  11 months, external contract with possible long term extension
  • Company:  major Pharma company in Basel area
  • Salary:  level 1, please ask us for the exact rate range

(monthly all in salary levels in CHF,  level1= 5-10k , level2=10-15k,  level3= >15k)

 

Personalized Healthcare (PHC) creates opportunities to improve outcomes for patients today and in the future. The PHC program aims to drive Roche enterprise transformation across the Pharma value chain by: 

  • Accessing meaningful data at scale (high-dimensionality data sets with longitudinal clinical trial data, real-world data, whole genome sequencing, transcriptomics, immune system
    profiling, anatomic and pathology imaging data, and digital health data)
  • Applying advanced analytics to accelerate insight generation
  • Feeding forward insights re: disease activity/disease characterization to inform research and
    development decisions which improves our internal productivity and provides evidence to
    inform external decision-makers including patients, healthcare providers, governments,
    regulators and public and private payers

 

As a Scientific Project Coordinator for the PHC Ophthalmology Advanced Analytics Showcase you
will report to the Showcase Analytics Lead and work in close partnership with the whole team as
we as all key stakeholders. Ideally you will be working in a hybrid role - part project/stakeholder
management, coordination, and communication and part scientific/clinical data management
including due diligence -- attuned to the emerging functional needs.

In all cases, we look to you to provide thoughtful input as well as drive and diligently support all
project related activities, contribute and foster a collaborative team environment, apply creative
problem solving to challenges encountered, and hold the team and yourself accountable for
performance commitments and delivery of project/operational assignments. You will help define
and deliver functional solutions to achieve value delivery and business objectives.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Guide and support project team and stakeholders in planning and implementation of business
objectives/outcomes set by senior managers and executives

  • Thoughtful planning: Implement strong project management to set teams up for success;
  • Design, prepare for and effectively facilitate team meetings and/or interactions (agenda
    setting, outcomes and action item management)
  • Decision-making: Support day-to-day decision-making by the teams through appropriate
    preparation, communication, information management and removing of obstacles
  • Relationship building: Build and maintain positive, trust-based working relationships with
    key stakeholders inside and outside of the organization
  • Communications: Design and implement communication plans targeting relevant individuals
    or groups inside and outside of the organization
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement: Build in feedback loops to monitor project
    team/stakeholder “health” and take steps to improve interaction/dynamics
  • Solution/Project Definition: Partner with the Showcase Analytics Lead and Key
    Stakeholders to align on scope and desired outcomes for performance objectives
  • Goal/Value Tracking: Lead thoughtful planning, tracking and communication of specific
    goals to ensure transparency and business impact
  • Agility: Continuously and flexibly integrate organizational priorities and challenges into
    planning and execution of functional solutions/service delivery
Requirements: 

Must Haves

 

  • 3+ years coordinating/managing complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer-oriented
  • 3+ years multi-disciplinary experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry matrix environment
  • Life science or related degree (mandatory)
  • Very good organizational skills along with expertise in vendor/contract/license management
    and attuned stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite
  • Proficiency in web-based planning systems such as Smartsheet and Jira
  • Business excellence skills: Develop efficient processes/approaches for the team based on
    business knowledge and proactive collaboration with others to get things done
  • Collaboration skills: Effectively collaborate within and across multiple organizations and with
    stakeholders of various background and skill sets; Contributes actively to group learning
    from both success and failures
  • Communication skills: Able to simplify a complex set of components into a simple, effective
    message; Proactively determines communication needs and implements messaging
  • Initiative: Able to define priorities and focus on areas that add value; Self-motivated and

Nice to Haves

 

  • +++ Local candidates who are already familiar with the Roche tools and processes are preferred
  • +++ Experience in one or several of the following areas is considered a plus: scientific/clinical
    data management, statistical data analysis, scientific writing
  • +++ International teamwork or global functional experience is preferred
  • + Project Management certification, Lean Six Sigma certification or Decision Science certification are a plus
