HR Reporting Project to cover reporting with combined data between several sources (Taleo, Workday, SAP HCM). The role of the business analyst is to gather reporting & analytics requirements and come up with proposals. The project has just started. 


Tasks & Responsibilities

The main task is a business analyst role that deeply understands HR processes but also has the technical background in reporting. Responsibilities are:

  • Global coordination of business needs across country and business boundaries (most important part of the tasks) 
  • Analyze HR reporting and analytics needs holistically with business stakeholders. If needs are not expressed, put proposals forward. 
  • Bring to the business proposals for state of the art end-user and analyst reporting 
  • Propose servicing models for state of the art end-user and analyst reporting 
  • Propose distribution models for state of the art end-user and analyst reporting 
  • ATS – Taleo and Workday Attraction Hiring Sourcing requirements analysis 
  • Workforce reporting in SAP R/.3 and SAP BW – requirements analysis 
  • Conceptional data modelling for Oracle 
  • Overlook the technical implementation for offshore developments 
  • Audit the development 
  • Perform and lead business testing 
  • Establish project documentation

  • End date: 29.06.2018 
  • Extension: An extension could be possible, but needs to be reviewed (depending on business demands). 
  • Work location: 100% 
  • Workload: Basel Messetower, later Kaiseraugst (from November) 
  • Remote/Home Office: possible max. 10-20%, prior approval needed 
  • Travelling: up to 10%, probably to Poland and SSF (US) 
  • Department: FGHE (Human Resources IT) 


  • At least 5 years of experience in working as Business Analyst with or for a multinational company (especially with HR) 
  • Needs to have both HR processes as well as technical expertise (e.g. integration of data) 
  • Needs to be highly flexible with changing priorities or requests 
  • Prior project management skills (+3 years) 
  • Needs to be able to communicate in English at a very proficient level 
  • Strong HR business experience (strong process knowledge) 
  • Strong customer engagement skills as Business Analyst 
  • Lived and worked abroad is a big plus due to the diversity and complexity of needs in the different countries 
  • Ideally lived in a English speaking country before
