Tasks & Responsibilities
Project/Role
We are a team of Linux software engineers looking for a new team member to help us to develop and
maintain the clients inhouse Linux distribution for medical devices. The main focus of this role is to
implement and maintain the next generation of the custom OS abstraction layer: a C++ system
daemon and a large family of plugins that expose OS capabilities over an RPC API. Besides, all team
members are welcome to contribute in all areas they are interested in and feel comfortable.
Main Tasks:
Development and maintenance of our custom OS abstraction layer with focus on the C++
backendContribute to medical instrument / software development projects with technical know-how
Must Haves
5+Hands on experience with modern C++
Linux as development environment
Education: Master in SW Engineering or other degree in Computer Science or equivalent
experienceTeam player with a “can do” attitude, quick learner, enjoying problem solving, ability to work
independently
Language:
English: advanced, ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Nice to Haves
Experience with RPC frameworks – preferably Protobuf/gRPC
Experience with unit and integration testing in C++
Experience with refactoring legacy codebases
Experience with JSON Schema based configurations
Experience with Debian packaging and configuration
