For our customer located in Neuchatel/Switzerland we are currently looking for a: Laboratory Specialist (m/f/d)
- Location: Neuchatel, hybrid
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Execute lab study on flask scale as well as on 5L and 120L bioreactors and other cell culture processes monitoring using different measure instruments (cell density and viability, pH,…).
- Execute small scale purification processes (chromatography, ultrafiltration) and column packing operations with different resins (0.5 to 10cm diameter),
- Collect, summarize, and analyze data to prepare reports and presentations,
- Support investigation related to laboratory deviation, Manage documentation associated with laboratory activities, Evaluate and implement innovations in the field of expertise to deliver better performing solutions,
- Develop and optimize process parameters,
- Support experimental study design and protocol writing,
- Execute protocols according to supervisor or project lead requirements/ directions (development, investigation, process qualification),
- Prepare study reports and result presentations,
- Control the laboratory equipment placed under her/his responsibility, ensure their maintenance, and solve the operating problems already encountered independently,
- Manage the stocks and the inventory of the consumables necessary for the realization of laboratory activities,
- Participate to the laboratory logistic activities,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must Haves
- Master in biochemistry, biology, biotechnology or equivalent with 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, ideally in process development,
- Good experience / theoretical knowledge of recombinant protein purification (chromatography, ultrafiltration),
- Good experience / theoretical knowledge of recombinant protein cell culture using CHO cells,
- Good knowledge of the Windows environment: Excel, Word, Powerpoint…,
- Knowledge of analytical tools for recombinant proteins (ELISA, SDS, HPLC…),
- Knowledge in statistics is a plus,
- Experience within cGMP environment and requirements or good knowledge of GMP rules and principles,
- Willing to work and at ease in a laboratory environment,
Strong communication skills and team spirit (ability to listen, diplomacy, initiative…), - Strong verbal and written communication with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization,
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail,
- Fluent in French and good level of English (minimum level B2).
