For our Swiss customer located in Basel we are currently looking for (m/f) a   Business Analyst - General - Level III

  • Type of placement:  7 months, external contract with possible long term extension

(monthly all in salary levels in CHF,  level1= 5-10k , level2=10-15k,  level3= >15k)


Business Purpose

Galileo program in NBS IT is offering a Senior Business Analyst role acting as Cutover Lead to ensure cutover readiness of new ServiceNow processes and tools by planning and tracking all activities and deliverables related to the agreed cutover readiness milestones. It requires a closely aligned integration with other project work streams, tight coordination with the receiving functions’ experts’ teams and ensuring readiness for go-live with support from functions’ Service Excellence and Service Operations leads. 

Envisaged assignment period is from 21-May-2018 until 31-Dec-2018 on 100% base. 


Role Description


  • Accountable for planning and tracking all activities and deliverables related to the agreed cutover readiness milestones 
  • Responsible for ensuring closely aligned integration with the other project work streams: especially Product, Core & Foundations who are accountable for Functions state of readiness 
  • Accountable for assessing and managing cutover readiness at pre-defined checkpoints 
  • Drive the cutover readiness of the new processes and tools in the receiving Functions 
  • Communicate and support the Functions’ expert teams, ensuring readiness for go-live with Service Excellence and Service Operations support 
  • Accountable for cutover readiness in the receiving Functions 
  • Execute the cutover within the agreed time-frame with no major business interruption 
  • Communicate cutover status to stakeholder groups and manage/mitigate red/amber issues or risks 
  • Provide a structured and repeatable approach for managing cutover across all sites 
  • Establish “Hypercare” support mechanisms for go-live 
  • Monitor and drive issue resolution and escalate out of line situations 
  • Work consultatively with stakeholders and retain focus to achieve the cutover readiness schedule 
  • Support workshops with stakeholders as required 
  • Commit to and embody company beliefs and values of the company 

Key Skills and Experience Required

Business Experience

  • Profound knowledge of IT cutover strategies and best practices with at least 8+ years’ experience 
  • Profound knowledge in IT Project Management methodologies and best practices with at least 5+ years’ experience 
  • Successful project cycle(s) in delivering/leading IT cutovers 
  • Keen awareness & good practice approaches for IT cutovers of enterprise scale 
  • Experience of taking ownership for delivery of IT cutovers with minimal management support 
  • Track record of dealing with multiple hands-on tasks 
  • Working business knowledge of consulting services (including working with offshore support teams) 
  • Educated to a minimum of higher national diploma level 
  • Service Management IT industry knowledge 
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow advantageous
